The IT mega show was held from September 25 to 29 at the Dubai World Trade Centre Complex and our stall was located at E9-22, Sheikh Rashid Hall.

Now in its 25th year, GITEX (Gulf Information Technology Exhibition), Dubai, is the biggest and most successful event of its kind in the Middle East and hosted blue chip IT companies from around the world. Compared to last year, the country representation shot up by 49% (a total of 61 countries took part), while as many as 1,163 participating exhibitors and 2,724 companies took part in the premier show. The international ICT event recorded double digit growth across the entire spectrum, as exhibitors displayed the latest computing and communications systems and applications.

Thousands thronged the Olive stall throughout the event - seeking relevant information about our solutions and services, and requests for demonstrations also flowed in.

Proximity for better interaction: Olive's tie-up with a leading IT solutions company in Oman and our subsequent decision to open a business development-cum-customer support centre in Dubai played a pivotal role in consolidating our presence in the ME Region. The company will soon launch its Middle East operations - a fact that further enhanced the confidence and comfort level of our prospects. The geographic proximity will also allow us to make commitments based on ground reality and resolve issues at the earliest. According to the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), the rapidly growing West Asian market offers immense opportunities to be explored.
